Melted Snowman

I brought you a snowman from the North Pole!

It looks like your Scout Elf tried to bring home a piece of the North Pole… but the Canadian winter must’ve warmed up inside! This funny and simple Elf on the Shelf® setup will have kids giggling when they discover what’s left of your elf’s little snowman friend.

Materials:

  • Clear jar or container
  • Baby carrot
  • Two small rocks
  • Water
  • Optional: glycerin or buttons

Instructions:

  1. Your Scout Elf filled a clear jar with water and added a few snowman “features,” a baby carrot for the nose, two pebbles for the eyes, and maybe even a few buttons. (Pro tip: a drop of glycerin makes the pieces float, giving that freshly melted look!)
  2. They’ve proudly left the jar on the counter or by a frosty window with a little note that says:
  3. “I brought you a snowman from the North Pole… but he didn’t last long indoors!”
